As a make-up artist, I do have tips and tricks to prolong the make-up hold. However, the fact is there is really no 100% way to make sure your skin is not going to shine, your lipstick will stay nice and pretty, after a good cry of touching moment your eyeliner and eyelashes are going to be there without really smudging. I have tested a lot of products on myself because of my skin type NORMAL TO OILY, a very difficult skin type to deal with when it comes to make-up. I have found the far the best ones that worked on my skin, but they still run throughout the day.
I had a couple cases that the brides had super oily skin, anything put on them melts away within an hour or two. But because I was with them the whole time, their skin would not shine through the camera, they would not look like a panda with eyeliner smudging all over. OIL EATS MAKEUP! WHAT REALLY IS IMPORTANT YOU WANT YOURSELF TO PRESENT THE BEST EITHER IN FRONT OF CAMERA OR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
I'm going to get married next year, and I know the importance of hiring a make-up artist for all day is essential. Although, I can fix a lot of things myself without paying lots of money having a make-up artist. I really want to keep myself out of hassles thinking what if my eyeliner runs? why if my false eyelashes fall down? do I have the time to fix my make-up while they are million things that I have to do and worry on my wedding day?
